What is Amplify Rewards?

Amplify Rewards is a credit card loyalty program for St.George Amplify cardholders who have linked their card to the program. Charge credit purchases to your linked Amplify credit card, to earn Amplify Points which can later be redeemed for a wide range of rewards including flights, accommodation, merchandise and shopping vouchers1.

How can I become an Amplify Rewards Credit Cardholder?

If you would like to become an Amplify credit cardholder, visit the stgeorge.com.au website where you can find out more about Amplify and apply for a credit card online. Click here for personal cards and click here for business card. Alternatively, please visit your nearest branch. When you apply for your Amplify credit card, you can choose to link that card to Amplify Rewards.

How can I check my Amplify Points balance?

  • Your Amplify Points balance will display on most pages of the site once you have logged in.
  • The Amplify Statement outlines:
    1. Number of Amplify Points earned on eligible purchases.
    2. Bonus Amplify Points earned.
    3. Total number of Amplify Points available for redemption.
    4. Any recent redemption claimed since your last Rewards Statement.

Which purchases are ineligible for Earning Points?

Points relating to the use of the card will be awarded for eligible purchases in accordance with the Amplify Rewards Terms and Conditions and the Amplify Business Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions. Points are not earned on cash advances and balance transfers or in other specified circumstances including:

  • government charges (other than GST payable in connection with the purchase of goods or services on which you earn Amplify Points);
  • interest and other bank fees and charges (including any GST payable on any of these);
  • cash advances (any transaction treated by us as a cash advance as further explained in the “Definitions” section – clause 19 below);
  • balance transfers;
  • BPAY® payments, i.e. bill payments and other payments made through the BPAY® Electronic Payments Scheme

Also, if you (or an Additional Cardholder) return any goods or services purchased with the Card or Card Account, or your Card Account is credited in connection with a disputed transaction, we will adjust the Amplify Points total earned by deducting any Amplify Points, which were earned in connection with the original or disputed transaction.

Can I email the Amplify Rewards Centre with my rewards questions?

Yes, you can send your questions about Amplify Rewards to the Amplify Rewards Centre via email. Emails will be replied to within two business days in most cases. The email option is found on the website, under the Help tab.

How often will the Amplify Points that I have earned be updated on my Amplify Rewards account and be available for redemption?

Your Amplify Rewards account is generally current as of the previous business day. Once these points are in your account they are ready for redemption.

Password Reset or New Account Activation

Am I able to reset my Amplify Rewards account password on the Amplify Rewards website?

Yes, you are able to generate a temporary Amplify Rewards account password by providing your credit card number, birth date and email address. If the correct information is provided on the Amplify Rewards website, a temporary password will be emailed to the registered email address for your Amplify Rewards online account. Please note that it is best to keep your Amplify Rewards account password different from your St.George Online Banking.

What if I have not registered on St.George Online Banking, can I still activate my Amplify Rewards account on the Amplify Rewards website?

Yes, you can activate your Amplify Rewards account via the Amplify Rewards website.

Can I have more than one email address associated with my Amplify Rewards account?

For each individual Amplify account, there can be only ONE email address that will activate your account on the Amplify website. This provides a unique identifier for security.

Points Calculator

Is there a simple way that I can calculate how many Amplify Points I can convert to air points or air miles in participating Airline points loyalty programs?

Yes. An Airline points conversion calculator allows you to enter the number of Amplify Points you wish to convert to your selected Airline points program or the amount of Airline points that you require. After submitting this information, the website will inform you:

  • How many Airline points you can transfer for a specific number of Amplify Points, or
  • How many Amplify Points you will need to transfer for a required number of Airline points.

Remember: You must be a member of the relevant Airline points program to redeem Amplify Points for Airline points or air miles. Under the Amplify Rewards Terms and Conditions, and the Amplify Business Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions, you must have earned at least 3,000 Amplify Points before you can redeem for air points or air miles points and redeem a minimum of 3,000 points with additional increments in multiples of 500 points at a time. The terms and conditions of the relevant Airline points program apply.

How do I redeem my Amplify Points?

How long does it usually take to dispatch my redemption once I have redeemed?

  • Gift Cards/vouchers – Up to 5 business days
  • Products – Up to 10 business days
  • Airline points transfer – Up to 3 business days.

If I make a redemption via the Amplify Rewards website am I able to track it online?

Yes, you can view the delivery status of all your Amplify redemptions online or by calling the Amplify Rewards Centre 1300 489 586.

What is ‘Variable Points Plus Pay?’

Variable Points Plus Pay gives you more flexibility over how many points you wish to use for a redemption enabling you to split the cost of a redemption between your points and a payment from your credit card.

Variable Points Plus Pay can be used on all redemptions except the transfer of Amplify Points to Airline points programs and bank related products including the Amplify credit card annual fee.

Do I receive a receipt for my redemption?

A specific receipt is not provided for any redemption other than Amplify Travel bookings, however an order number is provided to you at the time of redemption. This order number allows you to track where your delivery is up to within the fulfillment cycle. The order number can also be quoted to an Amplify Rewards Centre if there is a problem with the redemption.

Can I use my Amplify Points to pay for the cost of delivery of my redemption?

Yes. On all redemptions that have a delivery charge you can use your points to pay for the delivery in accordance with the Amplify Rewards Terms and Conditions and the Amplify Business Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions, provided you have enough points.

I am having difficulties activating my account or logging in because the page will not display. What do I do?

If you are having problems trying to Log In or Activate your account because the relevant page will not display, this is most likely due to the Internet Browser version that you are using.

To maximise your website experience and ensure the highest level of website security, Amplify Rewards requires that you use Internet Explorer version 5.1 or higher (see browser version section above for more information). As such, if you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or less, you will experience difficulties viewing the Activation, Your Account and Authentication pages on this site.
